6 to 9 Months

MAKE YOUR INITIAL INQUIRY

Once you contact The Cake Obsession, we will ask you for a few details and send you an initial rough quote in  2 to 3 business days.

4 to 6 Months

CAKE TASTINGS

Choosing the cake flavors is just as important as choosing the design! Once you have finalized your wedding date and reception site and are ready to talk cake details, give us a call!  Tastings are available by appointment only on Sunday afternoons from 2 pm to 5 pm.

BOOK YOUR ORDER

The booking process includes signing a contract that outlines our policies, what each party is responsible for, and payment terms.  Once the cake tasting is complete, you will receive a completed order detailing all your choices and the booking fee amount. You then have one week to review it, make sure you're happy, ask for any changes, sign it and return it.  The deposit is due at the time of the booking.  Your order is not considered booked until the deposit is received.

2 to 3 Months

SPECIAL ACCENTS

Secure non-edible accents (i.e., custom cake toppers, brooches, special ribbons) in advance and deliver to The Cake Obsession.

RENTAL EQUIPMENT

Confirm the sizes of any rental equipment needed and have those items added to your order.

2 to 4 Weeks

FINAL PAYMENT DUE

Payment of the remaining balance on your order is due four weeks before collection or delivery.

CONFIRM DELIVERY DETAILS

We will reach out to you to confirm the time of the ceremony, reception time, delivery address, and guest count.  At this time, we may offer suggestions for additional cake servings if needed.   I will also contact your venue to confirm delivery, set-up times, and other arrangements.

Wedding Day

CAKE DELIVERY

The cake will be delivered in several boxes and stacked onsite.  Delivery is typically 2 to 3 hours before the ceremony begins.

Enjoy!  Eat cake and be happily married!

ANNIVERSARY CAKE

The Cake Obsession will provide a complimentary 6" cake tier for your one-year anniversary. Call our bakery two weeks before your first anniversary to schedule pick up.

1 to 2 Days after the Wedding

RETURN RENTAL EQUIPMENT

All rental items will be for three days, including the day of the event and two days after. If you have rented equipment from The Cake Obsession, those items must be cleaned and returned no later than two days after the wedding. At this point, you will receive the deposit provided to reserve the equipment.
